Job Description
Are you looking to kickstart a rewarding career in logistics but lack experience? Gordon Food Service is offering an incredible opportunity for a Trainee Forklift Driver in Lloydminster! No prior experience is necessary as we provide comprehensive, fully funded training, including securing your forklift licence. This full-time position is perfect for motivated individuals eager to learn, committed to safety, and ready to become a vital part of our distribution team. You will learn to safely operate various types of forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials in our bustling warehouse environment, ensuring efficient and accurate order fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in all provided forklift operation and safety training.
- Learn to safely operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) under supervision.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and moving products and materials within the warehouse.
- Learn to identify and report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards.
- Help maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with warehouse team members to achieve operational goals.
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment as instructed.
Required Skills
- Willingness to learn and commit to a structured training program.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
