Key Responsibilities

• Successfully complete exo's paid comprehensive training program to obtain a Class 2 driver's license and necessary certifications.
• Operate transit buses safely and efficiently on assigned routes, adhering to schedules and all traffic laws.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers, providing excellent customer service.
• Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, including those with special needs or mobility challenges.
• Collect fares and issue transfers as required, handling transactions accurately.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or issues promptly.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and passengers.
• Respond calmly and professionally to various situations that may arise during operation.
• Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior.

Required Skills

• Valid Class 5 (passenger vehicle) driver's license (or equivalent) for at least 24 months.
• Excellent driving record with no more than 3 demerit points.
• Ability to obtain a Class 2 driver's license with air brake endorsement upon completion of training (provided by exo).
• Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
• Punctual, reliable, and able to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to communicate effectively in French (written and spoken).
• Must be able to pass a background check and medical examination.
• No previous bus driving experience required; full training will be provided.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a customer service role.
• Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset.
