Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial intake interviews with clients to understand their needs and circumstances.
- Provide accurate and clear information regarding unemployment benefits, eligibility criteria, and application processes.
- Guide clients through online application portals and assist with documentation requirements.
- Refer clients to appropriate provincial and federal programs, community resources, and employment services.
- Maintain precise and confidential client records in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, offering empathetic and professional assistance.
- Participate actively in all required training sessions to develop expertise in unemployment legislation and program delivery.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent service delivery and client support.
- Stay informed about changes in policies and procedures related to unemployment services.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a patient and empathetic approach.
- Basic proficiency in computer applications and data entry.
- Ability to learn new information quickly and adapt to changing guidelines.
- A genuine desire to help people and contribute to public service.

Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in social sciences, public administration, human resources, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a customer service, administrative, or public-facing role.
- Familiarity with Alberta's employment services or social support programs.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset.
