Job Description
As a Virtual Charity Fundraiser for Barnardo’s, you will play a vital role in our mission by connecting with potential donors over the phone. This 100% remote position allows you to work from the comfort of your home, engaging in meaningful conversations to inspire support for our life-changing programs. You will be responsible for clearly articulating Barnardo’s impact, sharing compelling stories, and securing financial contributions to ensure we can continue our essential work with children and young people across the UK. Full training will be provided to equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with potential donors over the phone in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Clearly communicate Barnardo's mission, impact, and fundraising objectives.
- Inspire individuals to make financial contributions through one-time or regular donations.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of donor interactions.
- Achieve daily and weekly fundraising targets.
- Adhere to all charity guidelines and data protection regulations.
- Participate in regular virtual team meetings and training sessions.
- Represent Barnardo's values and brand with integrity.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- A compassionate and persuasive telephone manner.
- Ability to actively listen and respond empathetically.
- Basic computer literacy and comfort with virtual communication tools.
