Key Responsibilities

  • Undergo comprehensive training to understand and apply immigration, customs, and security legislation.
  • Inspect travel documents, goods, and vehicles for compliance with UK border laws.
  • Identify and intercept illegal immigrants, prohibited goods, and potential threats to national security.
  • Conduct interviews and collect information from passengers and cargo handlers.
  • Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and international partners.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete necessary paperwork for inspections and enforcement actions.
  • Operate and utilize specialist equipment for detection and screening purposes.
  • Adhere strictly to all agency policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines.
  • Provide a professional and courteous service to the public while upholding border integrity.
  • Participate in continuous professional development and training initiatives.

  • Residency in the UK for at least 5 years and ability to pass security vetting.
