Job Description
Are you passionate about wine and eager to gain hands-on experience in the viticulture and wine production industry? Mersey Cellars & Vine Co. is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Viticulture & Wine Production Intern to join our team. This entry-level position is designed for individuals with little to no prior experience, providing comprehensive training across various aspects of the wine lifecycle, from vineyard management principles to bottling and distribution. You will gain invaluable insights into the intricacies of wine production, quality control, and the commercial side of the wine industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with data collection and analysis related to vineyard health, grape maturation, and harvest planning (remotely from Liverpool office, collaborating with vineyard teams).
- Support the production team with inventory management and quality control checks for incoming wine shipments.
- Learn and assist with basic cellar operations, including sanitation, barrel management, and bottling preparation.
- Contribute to market research and competitor analysis to understand wine trends and consumer preferences.
- Participate in wine tasting sessions and provide feedback on various samples.
- Help prepare materials for client presentations and educational workshops.
- Support administrative tasks related to wine production and logistics.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines during all operational activities.
