Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Water & Wastewater Engineer to join our dynamic team in Aurora, CO. The successful candidate will be involved in the design, analysis, and management of various water and wastewater infrastructure projects, focusing on delivering sustainable and innovative solutions for our clients. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering design and analysis for water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, collection systems, and distribution networks.
  • Develop detailed engineering plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
  • Conduct hydraulic modeling and analysis for water and wastewater systems.
  • Participate in the planning, design, and construction phases of projects, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including environmental specialists, civil engineers, and project managers.
  • Prepare and present technical reports and findings to clients and stakeholders.
  • Provide technical support during construction, including site visits and problem-solving.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to their professional development.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes in water and wastewater engineering.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in water and wastewater engineering.
  • Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software (e.g., WaterCAD, SewerCAD, HEC-RAS).
  • Strong understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes and technologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Eligibility for professional engineering licensure (PE) in the future.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with a focus on water resources.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Colorado or ability to obtain reciprocity.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D or other relevant design software.
  • Project management experience on water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal environmental regulations (e.g., EPA, CDPHE).
