Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Casual Event Ushers for weekend work at Optus Stadium. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking for flexible hours, a high hourly rate, and a chance to be part of the excitement of Perth’s biggest events. As an Event Usher, you will be the face of our venue, ensuring every guest has a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience. We value a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills above extensive prior experience, as comprehensive training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and direct patrons to their designated seats and various facilities within the venue.
  • Scan tickets, verify credentials, and manage access control at entry points.
  • Provide accurate information regarding event schedules, venue services, and policies.
  • Monitor assigned sections for potential safety hazards, emergencies, or disruptive behavior.
  • Assist patrons with special needs, including wheelchair access and mobility assistance.
  • Respond to patron inquiries and resolve minor issues with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Liaise with security, medical, and management staff to ensure patron safety and comfort.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area during events.
  • Adhere to all venue policies, procedures, and emergency protocols.

  • Reliability and punctuality, particularly for weekend shifts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer service or event-based role (not essential, but valued).
  • Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.
  • Current First Aid certification.
  • Knowledge of Optus Stadium layout and services.
