Job Description
Are you looking for an opportunity to kickstart your career in agriculture? Esperance Premium Produce is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Part-time Nut Harvesters. No prior experience is required – we provide full, comprehensive training to all new team members! This role offers a fantastic chance to learn practical skills in a supportive outdoor environment, working with a dedicated team during our harvest season. Key Responsibilities
- Operating and monitoring harvesting machinery under supervision
- Performing manual harvesting tasks as required
- Sorting and quality checking nuts to ensure high standards
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of harvested produce
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment in the orchard and processing areas
- Following all health and safety guidelines and procedures
- Working effectively as part of a team to meet daily production targets
- Participating in training sessions and applying learned techniques
Required Skills
- Ability to follow instructions and learn new tasks quickly
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Physical fitness and ability to perform repetitive tasks, including lifting up to 15kg
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in an outdoor or agricultural setting (not essential, but a bonus)
- Current driver's license and reliable transport
