Job Description
As an Event Parking Director, you will lead and oversee all parking and traffic management operations for various events hosted by Island Event Solutions. This pivotal role requires an individual who is comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions, demonstrating high visibility and exceptional communication skills. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and orderly flow of vehicles and pedestrians, providing clear directions, and managing a team of parking attendants. Your leadership will be crucial in creating a positive first and last impression for event attendees. This is a dynamic role where your problem-solving abilities and calm demeanor will be highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive parking and traffic management plans for diverse events.
- Direct and supervise a team of parking attendants, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and service standards.
- Stand outdoors for extended periods, providing highly visible guidance and assistance to attendees.
- Coordinate with event organizers, security, and local authorities to ensure smooth operations.
- Manage parking lot setup, signage, and equipment deployment.
- Address and resolve parking-related issues, complaints, and emergencies promptly and professionally.
- Prepare post-event reports and recommend improvements for future events.
- Train new parking staff on procedures, safety, and customer service.
Required Skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- A calm and authoritative presence, even under pressure.
- Valid Class 5 (or equivalent) Driver's License.

- Experience in event management, security, or traffic control.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Knowledge of local traffic regulations and event permitting processes.
- Ability to use communication radios and other event technology.
