Job Description
Are you passionate about helping others and looking to start a rewarding career in mental health? VNS Health is seeking enthusiastic individuals for the role of Trainee Mental Health Support Worker. No prior experience in mental health is required – we provide comprehensive, hands-on training to equip you with all the skills needed to excel in this vital role. This is an immediate start position designed for motivated individuals eager to learn and grow within the healthcare sector, specifically supporting clients with mental health challenges in a community setting. You will work directly with individuals, assisting them with daily living, social integration, and access to necessary resources, all under the guidance of experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide practical and emotional support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, medication reminders, and household management.
- Support clients in developing life skills, managing their finances, and accessing community resources.
- Accompany clients to appointments and social activities to promote community integration.
- Document client progress and communicate effectively with the care team.
- Participate actively in all required training and professional development sessions.
