Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Patrol designated areas to detect and prevent unauthorized activities, theft, or vandalism.
- Monitor surveillance equipment and alarm systems.
- Control access to the courthouse, verifying identification and screening individuals.
- Respond to emergencies, alarms, and security incidents in a calm and professional manner.
- Complete detailed daily reports, incident reports, and other documentation.
- Enforce courthouse policies and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service and assistance to visitors and staff.
- Liaise with law enforcement and emergency services as required.
- Conduct security screenings using various equipment and techniques.
Required Skills
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Eligible to work in Canada.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid New Brunswick Security Guard license (GardaWorld can assist with this process).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in security, customer service, or a public-facing role.
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
- Knowledge of federal security protocols and procedures.
