Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Nurse to join our dedicated team at Nuffield Health Chester, The Grosvenor Hospital. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to provide exceptional care to children and their families within a state-of-the-art facility. Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for efficacy and side effects.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, adhering to Nuffield Health and NMC guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with doctors, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Educate and support children and their families regarding health conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, demonstrating excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and child-friendly environment, adhering to infection control and safeguarding policies.
- Participate in ward meetings, audits, and professional development activities to enhance practice and contribute to service improvement.
Required Skills
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) in the UK (or eligible for registration).
- A degree or diploma in Nursing, with a specialization or significant experience in Pediatrics.
- Proven experience working as a Pediatric Nurse in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and empathy skills.
- Strong clinical assessment and observation skills specific to pediatric patients.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrable commitment to patient safety and high-quality, evidence-based care.
- Eligibility for a Skilled Worker Visa (sponsorship provided for successful candidates).
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-registration qualification in pediatric nursing or a related specialist area.
- Experience with electronic patient record systems.
- Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Experience in a private healthcare setting.
