Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Producer to join our creative team in Nottingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire production lifecycle of assigned projects, from initial concept to final delivery. This role requires a visionary leader with strong organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage resources, budgets, and timelines effectively. You will collaborate closely with various departments, ensuring that all productions meet BBC Studios’ high standards of quality and creative integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage production teams, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
- Develop and manage production schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Oversee all stages of production, including pre-production, principal photography/recording, and post-production.
- Ensure creative vision is maintained and quality standards are met throughout the project.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, external partners, and talent.
- Manage risks and troubleshoot production challenges proactively.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and health and safety guidelines.
- Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest creative and technical specifications.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Producer in media production (e.g., TV, digital content, radio).
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrable creative vision and storytelling expertise.
- Proficiency in budget management and scheduling software.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Thorough understanding of the production process and industry best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Film, Television Production, Media Studies, or a related field.
- Experience working on national or internationally distributed productions.
- Familiarity with BBC editorial guidelines and standards.
