Job Description

We are seeking an empathetic and dedicated Memorial Consultant – Sales & Service to join our team in Alice Springs. In this pivotal role, you will guide families through the process of selecting and arranging memorial products and services, ensuring their needs are met with understanding and professionalism. This position combines sales skills with a deep commitment to service, requiring a sensitive approach and excellent organizational abilities. You will be responsible for building relationships, explaining options, and managing all related administrative tasks to ensure a seamless experience for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct compassionate consultations with clients to understand their memorial needs and preferences.
  • Present and explain various memorial products and services, including monuments, plaques, and other commemorative items.
  • Accurately prepare quotes, contracts, and other sales documentation.
  • Maintain detailed client records and follow up on inquiries and sales leads.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure timely delivery and installation of memorial items.
  • Provide ongoing support and excellent customer service to families.
  • Process payments and manage administrative tasks related to sales.
  • Adhere to company policies and industry regulations.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a sales, customer service, or client-facing role.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and tact.
  • Proven ability to achieve sales targets and build lasting client relationships.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the funeral, memorial, or related service industry.
  • Understanding of local customs and cultural sensitivities in Alice Springs and surrounding areas.
  • Valid Australian Driver's License.
