Job Description
Are you an energetic and reliable individual looking for a hands-on role with early starts and weekly pay? Amazon Logistics is seeking a dedicated Drivers Mate / Porter to join our Spokane team. In this vital support role, you will work alongside our experienced delivery drivers, assisting with the safe and efficient delivery of a wide range of goods to homes and businesses. This is a physically active role that requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to customer service. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals looking to start or advance their career in logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist delivery drivers with loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Navigate routes with drivers, providing support and communication as needed.
- Handle packages and items with care, ensuring they reach their destination in perfect condition.
- Interact professionally with customers upon delivery, providing excellent service.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies during deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with drivers and dispatch regarding delivery status and any issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, both in the vehicle and at the depot.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout a shift.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong commitment to early morning starts.
- Strong teamwork ethic and ability to follow instructions.
- Basic problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
- Legal right to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehousing, delivery, or physically demanding role is a plus.
- Familiarity with the Spokane area's road network.
- Customer service experience.
