Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Remote Health Coach to join our dynamic wellness team. This is a unique opportunity to work from the comfort of your home, empowering individuals across Australia to achieve their health and wellness goals. As a Health Coach, you will provide personalized guidance, support, and education to our members on various aspects of their health, including nutrition, exercise, stress management, and chronic condition management. You will develop tailored wellness strategies, conduct virtual consultations, and track progress, all while upholding Bupa’s commitment to high-quality, compassionate care. This role is ideal for someone who is self-motivated, empathetic, and proficient in leveraging digital tools to foster positive health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one virtual health coaching sessions with Bupa members.
- Develop personalized wellness plans based on individual health assessments and goals.
- Educate members on lifestyle modifications, healthy habits, and disease prevention.
- Provide ongoing motivation, support, and accountability to members.
- Track member progress, adjust strategies as needed, and document interactions accurately.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care.
- Stay updated on the latest health and wellness research and best practices.
- Utilize digital platforms and tools efficiently for virtual coaching and administration.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Health Coach, Wellness Coach, or similar role (2+ years).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport remotely.
- Strong understanding of health behavior change theories and motivational interviewing techniques.
- Proficiency in using virtual communication platforms (e.g., video conferencing tools).
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
- Empathetic and non-judgmental approach to coaching.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Science, Nutrition, Kinesiology, Psychology, or a related field.
- Certification from a recognized health coaching program (e.g., NBHWC, ACSM).
- Experience working with diverse populations or specific health conditions.
- Familiarity with the Australian healthcare system.
