Job Description
Join our dynamic team at XPO Logistics as an Airport Cargo Pallet Wrapper. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals who are reliable, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for preparing various types of cargo for safe transport, primarily focusing on netting, wrapping, and securing freight onto pallets. Full training will be provided to ensure you are confident and proficient in all aspects of the role. This is a critical role in our operations, directly contributing to the timely and secure movement of goods worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently wrap and net various types of cargo onto pallets according to established procedures.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment to move freight within the warehouse (training provided).
- Inspect cargo and pallets for any damage or irregularities before and after wrapping.
- Ensure all freight is properly labeled and documented for tracking purposes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet daily operational goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support cargo operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking English).
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics setting (not required, but a plus).
- Familiarity with safety procedures in an industrial environment.
