Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our Gold Coast team as a Pest Control Assistant. This is a casual position with day shifts, perfect for someone looking for flexible work. No prior experience is required, as comprehensive, hands-on training will be provided from day one. You will work alongside experienced technicians, assisting in a variety of pest management tasks and contributing to the health and safety of our community. This role offers an excellent opportunity to start a rewarding career in an essential service industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior pest control technicians with inspections, treatments, and client consultations.
- Prepare and set up equipment, tools, and materials required for daily service routes.
- Maintain accurate records of activities, observations, and materials used at client sites.
- Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
- Provide clear and professional communication with clients, addressing inquiries and concerns under supervision.
- Transport equipment and supplies efficiently between the branch and various client locations.
- Actively participate in training sessions and learn various pest identification and treatment techniques.
- Support the team in maintaining vehicle and equipment cleanliness and readiness.
Required Skills
- A positive attitude and a strong willingness to learn new skills.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as a valued team member.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Valid Australian Driver's License with a good driving record.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform duties that may involve lifting, bending, and working in various indoor and outdoor environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge or interest in local pest species and ecology.
- Previous experience in a customer service or field-based role is a plus, but not essential.
- Current First Aid certification.
