Job Description
We are seeking reliable and motivated Casual Loaders for day shifts at our Rockingham distribution centre. This role is crucial to our operations, involving the efficient and safe loading and unloading of goods, ensuring they are prepared for timely dispatch or storage. Ideal candidates will have a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This is a temporary position offering flexibility and the chance to contribute to a vital part of our supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload goods from trucks and containers.
- Sort and organise inventory within the warehouse according to company procedures.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as required (training provided if needed).
- Perform quality checks on outgoing and incoming shipments.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Assist with other general warehouse duties as directed by the supervisor.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy items safely.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehousing or logistics environment (e.g., loading, unloading, sorting).
- Current forklift license (LF Class) is highly regarded but not essential.
- Knowledge of basic inventory management principles.
