Job Description

Join our team at Nutrien Ag Solutions in Newcastle as an Irrigation Helper. This part-time role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in agricultural technology and water management. You will support our farm tech specialists in maintaining and operating irrigation systems, ensuring efficient water distribution for various agricultural applications. This position involves day work, providing a consistent schedule in a dynamic outdoor environment. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual eager to learn and contribute to the vital agricultural sector. Full training will be provided for all tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems (drip, sprinkler, pivot).
  • Monitor irrigation equipment for proper function and identify potential issues.
  • Perform routine checks and adjustments to ensure optimal water application.
  • Support farm tech specialists with system diagnostics and troubleshooting.
  • Prepare and organize tools and materials for irrigation projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of irrigation activities and observations.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and operational guidelines.
  • Learn to operate basic farm machinery related to irrigation.
