Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Virtual Paralegal Assistant with a strong focus on research and administrative support to join our dynamic team. This 100% remote role requires a proactive individual capable of managing multiple tasks, conducting thorough legal research, and providing comprehensive administrative assistance to our legal professionals. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently in a virtual environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research using various databases and resources to support ongoing cases and projects.
- Draft, review, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical client files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist with case management, including tracking deadlines and preparing for meetings.
- Prepare presentations, spreadsheets, and other administrative materials as required.
- Liaise with clients, courts, and other external parties with professionalism and discretion.
- Perform general administrative duties to support legal team operations.
- Manage scheduling, appointments, and virtual meeting coordination.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in legal research methodologies and databases (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a virtual team.
- High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Paralegal Certificate or equivalent qualification.
