Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and licensed Security Monitoring Dispatcher to join our dedicated team in Griffith, NSW. This pivotal role involves monitoring various security systems, responding to alarms, and dispatching security personnel as needed, primarily during night shifts. The successful candidate will be the critical link in emergency response, ensuring the safety and security of our clients’ premises. This is an on-site position requiring a vigilant and calm individual capable of handling high-pressure situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security alarms, CCTV, and other surveillance systems for multiple client sites.
- Respond promptly and effectively to all alarm activations and security incidents.
- Accurately document all events, actions taken, and communications.
- Dispatch security personnel or emergency services (police, fire, ambulance) according to protocols.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, security officers, and emergency responders.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all operational procedures and emergency protocols.
- Conduct regular system checks to ensure optimal functionality of monitoring equipment.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients calling into the control room.
Required Skills
- Current and valid NSW Class 1F Security Licence (Monitoring Centre Operator).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and security monitoring software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Reliable and punctual, with flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Basic knowledge of security principles and emergency response procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a control room, dispatch, or security monitoring role.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Familiarity with local Griffith area geography and emergency services.
