Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and organised Membership Support Assistant to join our professional team in Mount Barker. This role is crucial for ensuring our members receive excellent service and support, contributing to the smooth operation of our membership programs. You will be the first point of contact for many members, providing administrative assistance, processing inquiries, and maintaining accurate records. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills and a passion for supporting a not-for-profit mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to member inquiries via phone and email in a timely and professional manner
- Process new membership applications, renewals, and updates to member details
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date member records in the database system
- Assist with the coordination and communication for member events and initiatives
- Prepare and distribute membership-related correspondence, reports, and promotional materials
- Support the broader team with general administrative tasks as required
- Uphold the values and mission of the Australian Red Cross in all interactions
Required Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in an administrative or customer service role, preferably within a not-for-profit or membership-based organisation
