In this unique role, you will have the exciting opportunity to listen to unreleased tracks across various genres and provide insightful, constructive feedback. Your keen ear will help identify emerging artists and shape future music trends. This is a 100% remote position, offering flexibility and the chance to contribute to the Canadian music scene from anywhere.
Key Responsibilities
- Listen actively to a curated selection of unreleased musical tracks on a weekly basis.
- Provide detailed, objective, and constructive written feedback on musical composition, production quality, vocal performance, and overall commercial appeal.
- Rate tracks based on a predefined set of criteria, adhering to submission guidelines.
- Identify potential breakthrough artists, emerging genres, and notable industry trends.
- Collaborate with our A&R and content teams by submitting timely and comprehensive reviews.
Required Skills
- Exceptional listening skills with a keen ear for musical detail and nuance.
- Broad and current knowledge of various music genres, artists, and industry trends.
- Strong written communication skills, capable of articulate and constructive criticism.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Reliable internet connection and access to a personal computer with quality audio playback capabilities.
- A genuine passion for discovering new music and an open mind to diverse sounds.
- No prior professional music review experience required; we value passion and aptitude.
