Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and hands-on Skip Bin Repair Assistant to join our busy team in Goulburn. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone eager to learn a trade and work with power tools. No prior experience is required as full training will be provided on site. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and safety of our extensive fleet of skip bins, ensuring they are ready for deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the inspection and assessment of damaged skip bins.
- Operating various power tools for cutting, grinding, and shaping metal.
- Performing basic welding tasks under supervision (training provided).
- Preparing surfaces for painting and applying protective coatings.
- Cleaning and maintaining skip bins to a high standard.
- Ensuring all repair work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Adhering to all workplace health and safety procedures.
- Supporting the senior repair technicians as needed.
Required Skills
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
- Basic understanding of workshop safety.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic mechanical aptitude or hands-on hobby experience.
- Current Australian Driver's License.
- White Card (Construction Induction Card) is a plus, but not essential (can be obtained).
