Job Description
We are seeking reliable and dedicated individuals to join our team as a Supermarket Assistant for our casual night roster in Tuggeranong, ACT. This role is crucial for ensuring our store is perfectly stocked and presented for the next day’s customers. You’ll be working behind the scenes, primarily focusing on replenishing shelves, organising stock, and maintaining a clean and safe shopping environment. Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently replenish shelves with new stock, ensuring correct product placement and rotation.
- Unpack and organise deliveries in the stockroom.
- Maintain high standards of store cleanliness and presentation, including aisles, shelving, and stock areas.
- Assist with inventory management tasks as required.
- Adhere to all food safety and occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with other night shift team members to achieve operational goals.
- Operate pallet jacks and other store equipment safely (training provided if needed).
Required Skills
- Ability to commit to a casual night roster and flexible working hours.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and move merchandise (up to 15kg).
- Attention to detail and accuracy in tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team during night shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail, supermarket, or warehousing environment.
- Basic understanding of stock control and merchandising principles.
- Familiarity with operating pallet jacks or other materials handling equipment.
