Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently sort packages and parcels according to destination, size, and type.
- Load and unload freight from vehicles, ensuring proper handling and care.
- Scan packages using handheld devices to track movement and ensure accuracy.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet sorting deadlines and operational targets.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Identify and report any damaged packages or unusual items.
Required Skills
- Ability to work the night shift schedule (typically 10 PM – 6 AM, but hours may vary).
- Physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs (32 kg) on a regular basis.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Basic communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (though not required).
- Experience with package scanning or sorting equipment.
