Job Description
We are seeking a talented and motivated Identity & Access Management (IAM) Engineer to join our growing security team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust IAM solutions that protect our critical systems and data. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions, including Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Privilege Access Management (PAM), and Identity Governance and Administration (IGA).
- Develop and maintain IAM policies, standards, and procedures in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate applications and systems with IAM platforms.
- Perform routine maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of IAM infrastructure and applications.
- Participate in security audits and contribute to compliance efforts related to identity and access controls.
- Automate IAM processes and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Provide technical expertise and support for IAM-related incidents and requests.
- Stay current with emerging IAM technologies, threats, and best practices.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an IT or cybersecurity role, with exposure to identity and access management concepts.
- Solid understanding of security principles, network protocols, and operating systems.
- Familiarity with IAM concepts such as SSO, MFA, Federation, LDAP, and Active Directory.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Experience with specific IAM platforms (e.g., SailPoint, Okta, Azure AD, CyberArk).
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM, or vendor-specific IAM certifications.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their IAM services.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS, SOC 2).
