Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and physically capable Auto Salvage Parts Puller to join our team in Rancho Cucamonga. This is a hands-on, manual labor position where you will be responsible for safely and efficiently removing various automotive parts from salvage vehicles. You must be prepared to work outdoors in various weather conditions and bring your own basic hand tools. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Locate, identify, and safely remove specific automotive parts from a wide range of vehicles using personal tools.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Inspect removed parts for quality and damage, reporting any discrepancies.
- Organize and transport removed parts to designated areas within the salvage yard.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools are stored properly.
- Assist customers as needed with part location and general inquiries, providing excellent service.
- Operate basic equipment such as dollies or pallet jacks to move parts, if required.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and ability to perform strenuous manual labor for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and their safe operation.
- Ability to work effectively in an outdoor, salvage yard environment with varying weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify specific vehicle parts.
- Commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Reliable transportation to and from the work site.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in an automotive, mechanical, or salvage yard environment.
- Familiarity with various car makes, models, and their components.
- Basic understanding of vehicle disassembly and reassembly processes.
- High School Diploma or GED.
