Job Description
We are actively seeking motivated and diligent Cereal Packaging Line Hands to join our dynamic team in Kensington, Philadelphia. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking for immediate employment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. As a Packaging Line Hand, you will be an essential part of our production process, ensuring our delicious cereal products are packaged efficiently and to the highest quality standards. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent entry point for those eager to start a career in food manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor packaging machinery according to standard operating procedures.
- Load and unload packaging materials onto the production line.
- Inspect finished products for quality defects and ensure proper sealing and labeling.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly.
- Assist with line changeovers and basic machine adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets and maintain workflow efficiency.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment (even if brief).
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor machine troubleshooting.
