Job Description
Join our dedicated team as a Virtual Charity Fundraiser and help us make a real difference in the lives of children. In this 100% remote role, you will be responsible for making outbound calls to potential and existing supporters, engaging them in meaningful conversations about Save the Children Action Network’s vital work, and securing donations. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about child welfare, social impact, and who possess strong communication skills. Full training will be provided, making this an ideal role for entry-level candidates eager to start a career in fundraising and advocacy. You will work from the comfort of your home, connecting with donors and amplifying our mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Make outbound phone calls to prospective and current donors with enthusiasm and professionalism.
- Engage supporters in compelling conversations about Save the Children Action Network's programs and advocacy efforts.
- Inspire individuals to contribute financially to our life-saving and life-changing work.
- Accurately record donor information and interactions in our CRM system.
- Maintain a positive and empathetic demeanor during all calls.
- Meet or exceed daily and weekly fundraising goals.
- Adhere to all organizational guidelines and fundraising best practices.
- Participate in ongoing training and team meetings virtually.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills with a clear and engaging phone presence.
- Strong listening skills and the ability to empathize with others.
- Ability to articulate complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Basic computer proficiency and comfort using virtual communication tools (e.g., video conferencing, CRM software).
- Self-motivated and disciplined to work effectively in a remote environment.
- A passion for advocating for children's rights and welfare.
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service, sales, or volunteer outreach.
- Familiarity with non-profit organizations or advocacy campaigns.
- Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish) is a plus.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new scripts and talking points.
