Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and skilled professionals to join our public service team on the Gold Coast. As a Public Service Expert in Skilled Positions, you will contribute to vital government initiatives, utilizing your specialized expertise to deliver high-quality services to the community. This role requires individuals with a strong commitment to public service, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to their work. You will engage with diverse stakeholders, implement government policies, and play a key role in achieving departmental objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice and support within your specialized field to internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and implement programs or policies aligned with departmental goals and legislative requirements.
- Conduct research, analyze data, and prepare comprehensive reports to inform decision-making.
- Manage caseloads, projects, or initiatives with efficiency and adherence to strict guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve integrated service delivery outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all relevant government standards and ethical practices.
- Identify and address emerging issues, proposing innovative solutions to improve service provision.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated expertise in a relevant skilled domain (e.g., social work, policy analysis, project management, community development, legal services).
- Proven ability to analyze complex information, identify critical issues, and formulate sound recommendations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presentation abilities.
- Capacity to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
Preferred Qualifications
- A tertiary qualification (Bachelor's degree or higher) in a relevant field.
- Previous experience working within a government or public sector environment.
- Knowledge of relevant Queensland legislation, policies, and frameworks.
