Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our Armidale store team as Trolley Handlers. This is an essential entry-level role crucial to the smooth operation of our supermarket, ensuring customers have easy access to trolleys for their shopping convenience. Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently collect and retrieve shopping trolleys from various areas of the car park and store premises.
  • Return trolleys to designated bays in a safe and organised manner.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of trolley bays.
  • Assist customers with trolley-related inquiries or issues.
  • Report any damaged trolleys or potential hazards to store management promptly.
  • Adhere to all store safety and operational procedures.
  • Work cooperatively with other team members to support store operations.

Required Skills

  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Good physical stamina and the ability to stand, walk, push, and lift for extended periods.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Customer-focused attitude and friendly demeanour.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Strong commitment to safety.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment is a bonus but not essential.
  • Basic understanding of workplace health and safety (WHS) practices.
