Job Description
Are you a night owl looking for independent, flexible work? Spin is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as E-scooter & E-bike Fleet Rechargers in Pittsburgh, PA. In this critical night shift role, you will be responsible for ensuring our fleet of electric scooters and bikes are charged and ready for riders each morning. This is an essential role for maintaining the availability and reliability of our micromobility services across the city. This contract position offers a competitive hourly rate and the freedom to manage your routes efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Locate and collect low-battery e-scooters and e-bikes from various locations within Pittsburgh using our dedicated recharger app.
- Safely transport vehicles to your designated charging hub or personal charging location.
- Charge e-scooters and e-bikes overnight to full capacity.
- Redistribute fully charged vehicles to high-demand areas or designated parking zones each morning, ensuring optimal fleet availability.
- Perform basic visual inspections for damage and report any issues through the app.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating a personal vehicle for collection/distribution.
- Maintain a clean and organized charging area.
Required Skills
- Valid U.S. Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- Access to a reliable vehicle capable of transporting multiple e-scooters/e-bikes (e.g., SUV, truck, or van).
- Proficiency with smartphone applications and GPS navigation.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during night hours.
- Physical ability to lift and carry e-scooters (up to 40 lbs) and e-bikes (up to 50 lbs) multiple times per shift.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in logistics, delivery, or a similar field.
- Familiarity with the Pittsburgh metropolitan area.
- Experience using power tools or basic maintenance equipment.
