Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English / ESL Teacher to deliver engaging and effective language instruction to our diverse student population. This full-time position is ideal for experienced educators passionate about helping non-native English speakers achieve their language goals. The role involves developing and implementing lesson plans, assessing student progress, and contributing to a positive and supportive learning environment. We are pleased to offer LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment) or Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) support for qualified international candidates, demonstrating our commitment to attracting global talent. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver high-quality, student-centered ESL lessons based on established curriculum guidelines.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methodologies and materials to accommodate different learning styles and proficiency levels.
- Assess student performance regularly through quizzes, tests, assignments, and participation, providing constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and grades.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment conducive to language learning.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and academic staff to share best practices and contribute to curriculum development.
- Participate in professional development workshops and staff meetings.
- Provide guidance and support to students regarding their language learning journey and cultural adaptation.
- Ensure compliance with all institutional policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
- TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, or equivalent certification.
- Minimum of 2 years (24 months) of experience teaching ESL to adults or young adults.
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging and interactive lesson plans.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Cultural sensitivity and ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and online learning platforms.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in TESOL or Applied Linguistics.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment design.
- Proficiency in a second language.
- Familiarity with various international English proficiency exams (e.g., IELTS, TOEFL).
- Experience working with international student populations.
