Job Description
As a Shipping Label Printer Assistant, you will play a crucial role in our warehouse operations by ensuring all outgoing shipments are correctly labeled and prepared for dispatch. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals who are organized, detail-oriented, and looking to start a career in logistics. You will be responsible for printing accurate shipping labels, verifying package information, and distributing labels to the packing and shipping teams. Full training will be provided for this on-site role.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate label printing equipment efficiently and accurately.
- Generate shipping labels based on daily order manifests.
- Verify label information against physical packages or order details to prevent errors.
- Organize and distribute printed labels to appropriate packing and shipping stations.
- Monitor label stock levels and report reorder needs to supervisor.
- Assist with basic data entry related to shipping logs and label tracking.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety protocols and company guidelines.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and understand shipping manifests and instructions.
- Basic computer proficiency for operating printing software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Reliable and punctual.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or production environment (not required, but a plus).
