Job Description

Join the Oklahoma Conservation Foundation as an Ecology & Field Conservation Intern, working in collaboration with a National Park site in the Oklahoma region. This entry-level internship offers an unparalleled opportunity for aspiring conservationists to gain hands-on experience in ecological research, habitat restoration, and environmental education. You will work alongside experienced scientists and park staff, contributing to real-world conservation projects crucial for the protection of native species and ecosystems. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with field data collection, including vegetation surveys, wildlife monitoring, and water quality testing.
  • Participate in habitat restoration activities, such as invasive species removal, native plant propagation, and trail maintenance.
  • Support educational programs and outreach events for park visitors and local communities.
  • Operate and maintain field equipment under supervision.
  • Contribute to data entry and analysis, helping to prepare reports on project findings.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and national park regulations during field activities.
  • Learn and apply various field techniques and scientific methodologies.
