Key Responsibilities
- Successfully complete our comprehensive paid training program to obtain your PCV licence.
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently in varying traffic and weather conditions.
- Adhere to scheduled routes and timetables, ensuring punctuality and reliability.
- Provide excellent customer service, assisting passengers with inquiries and ensuring a pleasant journey.
- Handle passenger fares and tickets accurately, including using ticketing equipment.
- Conduct pre-service vehicle checks to ensure the bus is safe and roadworthy.
- Communicate effectively with passengers, colleagues, and management.
- Report any incidents, accidents, or vehicle defects promptly and accurately.
- Maintain a clean and tidy working environment on the bus.
Required Skills
- Must hold a full, valid UK driving licence for at least 2 years with no more than 6 penalty points.
- A strong commitment to safety and customer service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Patience, reliability, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to pass a mandatory medical examination and drug & alcohol screening.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience (any sector).
- Good geographical knowledge of Norwich and the surrounding areas.
