Job Description

We are urgently seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as a Virtual Public Health Contact Tracer. This is a critical remote role focused on supporting public health initiatives. You will be responsible for reaching out to individuals who have been in contact with confirmed cases of infectious diseases, providing them with essential information, guidance, and support to help prevent further transmission. This role requires excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Full training will be provided, ensuring you are equipped with all the necessary knowledge and tools to excel in this vital public health effort. This position offers an immediate start and is 100% remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct virtual interviews with individuals identified as close contacts of confirmed cases of infectious diseases.
  • Gather accurate and confidential information regarding symptoms, exposure history, and potential contacts.
  • Provide clear, concise, and empathetic guidance on self-isolation/quarantine protocols, symptom monitoring, and available resources.
  • Educate contacts on the importance of public health measures to mitigate disease spread.
  • Document all information accurately and completely in designated systems, adhering to strict data privacy and confidentiality guidelines.
  • Escalate complex cases or concerns to supervisory staff as required.
  • Maintain a professional and supportive demeanor while interacting with individuals who may be anxious or distressed.
  • Adhere to all protocols, policies, and procedures related to contact tracing and data handling.

Required Skills

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to data protection regulations.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and data entry software.
  • Reliable internet connection and a suitable private workspace for remote work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer service, call center, or public-facing role.
  • Understanding of public health principles or healthcare terminology.
  • Experience working in a remote capacity.
  • Multilingual abilities (e.g., Welsh, Punjabi, Bengali, Gujarati, Polish, etc.).
