Job Description

We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Helicopter Pilots specializing in offshore and search and rescue (SAR) operations to join our elite team. This full-time position is based out of our Washington D.C. hub, with deployments to various operational areas as needed for critical missions. As a Helicopter Pilot, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our advanced rotary-wing aircraft in demanding environments, often under adverse weather conditions. Your primary duties will include transporting personnel and equipment to offshore platforms, conducting complex SAR missions over land and sea, and maintaining the highest standards of flight safety and operational readiness. A comprehensive relocation package is available for qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate rotary-wing aircraft for offshore transport, search and rescue, and other special mission assignments.
  • Conduct pre-flight inspections, flight planning, and post-flight procedures in accordance with company policies and FAA regulations.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all aircraft systems, emergency procedures, and operational limitations.
  • Effectively manage crew resources and communicate with ground support and mission control.
  • Perform hoist operations, medical evacuations, and other specialized maneuvers inherent to SAR missions.
  • Adhere to strict safety protocols, flight hour limitations, and rest requirements.
  • Complete all required paperwork and reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Participate in ongoing training and recurrent checks to maintain proficiency and certifications.

Required Skills

  • FAA Commercial or Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with Rotorcraft-Helicopter rating.
  • Current FAA Class I or II Medical Certificate.
  • Minimum of 1500 total helicopter flight hours.
  • Minimum of 500 hours multi-engine turbine helicopter time.
  • Minimum of 100 hours of offshore experience or hoist operations.
  • Experience in Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) operations.
  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to perform under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in dedicated Search and Rescue (SAR) operations.
  • Experience with specific aircraft types in our fleet (e.g., AW139, S-76, H145).
  • NVG (Night Vision Goggle) qualification and experience.
  • Instructor Pilot or Check Airman experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management or related field.
