Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Clinical Lab Scientist to join our dynamic team in Indianapolis. Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of complex clinical laboratory tests and procedures on biological samples.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Analyze and interpret test results, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Implement and adhere to quality control and quality assurance protocols.
- Document all testing procedures, results, and observations meticulously.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Contribute to the development and validation of new laboratory methods.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including scientists, researchers, and physicians.
- Maintain a safe and compliant working environment according to regulatory standards (CLIA, CAP).
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related scientific field.
- ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) certification or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a clinical or research laboratory setting.
- Proficiency in various laboratory techniques (e.g., molecular diagnostics, immunology, clinical chemistry, hematology).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
- Experience with LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems).
- Familiarity with GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) guidelines.
- Previous experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry setting.
