Job Description
Are you an early riser looking for a physically active role with weekly pay? Veolia Environmental Services in Aberdeen is seeking dedicated and reliable Refuse Loaders / Bin Collectors to join our vital waste management team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, are physically fit, and thrive in a team environment. No previous experience is required as full training will be provided, ensuring you are equipped with all the necessary skills to succeed. Your efforts will be crucial in maintaining the cleanliness and public health of Aberdeen.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently collect refuse and recycling from residential and commercial properties.
- Operate loading mechanisms on refuse collection vehicles under the supervision of the driver.
- Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely service delivery.
- Assist the driver with safe maneuvering of the vehicle, acting as a banksman when required.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and company procedures.
- Maintain a clean and tidy working environment, including the vehicle and depot.
- Interact professionally and courteously with members of the public.
- Report any issues, hazards, or incidents promptly to the team leader.

- Good level of physical fitness and stamina for manual handling tasks.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a physical, outdoor, or waste management role (though not essential).
- Basic understanding of local geography of Aberdeen.
- Full UK driving license (Class B) would be an advantage.
