Job Description

Are you looking to kickstart a career in hospitality with a renowned hotel brand? Delta Hotels by Marriott in Sept-Îles is seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a Night Porter. This is an entry-level position where no prior experience is required; we provide full, comprehensive training to ensure your success. As a Night Porter, you will be the face of our hotel during the quieter hours, playing a crucial role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of our guests from dusk till dawn. Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor hotel premises and grounds to ensure the security and safety of guests and property.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, assisting guests with inquiries, requests, and concerns during the night shift.
  • Handle late check-ins and early check-outs efficiently and courteously.
  • Perform routine light cleaning and tidying of public areas, ensuring the hotel maintains its pristine appearance.
  • Prepare lobby and reception areas for the morning shift, ensuring a smooth transition.
  • Respond to and resolve guest issues or emergencies calmly and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete necessary reports.
  • Assist with luggage and other guest needs as required.
  • Uphold hotel standards and policies at all times.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and punctuality.
  • Basic computer literacy for processing check-ins/check-outs.
  • Positive, service-oriented attitude and eagerness to learn.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift moderate weight for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Fluency in French (written and spoken) given our location in Quebec.
  • Previous experience in a customer service role is a plus, but not required.
  • First Aid and/or CPR certification.
