Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and reliable Transit Train Cleaner to join our night shift team in Burlington, NC. This is a secure employment opportunity for an individual dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our transit train fleet. As a crucial member of our operations, you will ensure that all train interiors and exteriors are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, contributing directly to a positive and safe experience for daily commuters. Full training will be provided to ensure you are equipped with all necessary skills and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive cleaning of train interiors, including seats, floors, windows, and restrooms.
- Empty waste receptacles and replace liners.
- Sanitize high-touch surfaces such as handrails, door handles, and ticket machines.
- Clean and polish train exteriors, ensuring a presentable appearance.
- Restock supplies in restrooms and other designated areas.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and procedures for handling cleaning chemicals and operating equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift.
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Reliability and punctuality, particularly for night shift operations.
- Basic understanding of cleaning techniques and safety procedures.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work night shifts and weekends as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in janitorial, cleaning, or facilities maintenance.
