Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Hospital Porters. This is an entry-level, full-time position offering comprehensive training for those new to the healthcare field. As a Hospital Porter, you will play a vital role in the smooth operation of our hospital, ensuring the safe and timely transport of patients, equipment, and supplies. No prior experience is required, as full training will be provided to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in this essential role.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and compassionately transport patients via wheelchairs, beds, or stretchers between wards, departments, and treatment areas.
- Move medical equipment, laboratory samples, and supplies throughout the hospital as directed.
- Assist with the transfer of patients to and from beds, trolleys, and examination tables.
- Ensure a clean and organized environment by moving soiled linen, waste, and other materials to designated areas.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, medical professionals, and other hospital personnel.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations, infection control policies, and hospital procedures.
- Maintain a professional and empathetic demeanor when interacting with patients and visitors.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
