Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team in Bath. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, fostering strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth across target markets. You will play a crucial part in expanding our market presence and achieving strategic sales objectives for our innovative flow control solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities within key sectors.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals, ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, engineering, product) to develop tailored solutions.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and regularly report on sales activities and pipeline status.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and exhibitions to network and generate leads.
Required Skills
- Proven experience of at least 3 years in business development or sales, preferably in a technical or industrial sector.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel for client engagements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with flow control products or industrial automation.
- Familiarity with the oil & gas, water, or power generation industries.
- Additional language proficiency would be a plus.
