Job Description

Are you passionate about sound and eager to learn the intricate art of audio mastering and engineering? Harmonic Sound Studios is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Audio Mastering & Engineering Intern to join our dedicated team in Shawinigan. This entry-level internship offers an unparalleled opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional studio environment. You will work alongside seasoned engineers, contributing to real-world projects and learning the fundamentals of signal processing, acoustic treatment, and project management in audio production. No prior professional experience in mastering or engineering is required; we are looking for individuals with a strong desire to learn, a keen ear, and a foundational understanding of audio principles. Full training and mentorship will be provided, making this an ideal stepping stone for a career in audio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior engineers with audio setup, signal routing, and session preparation.
  • Observe and learn mastering and mixing techniques from experienced professionals.
  • Organize and maintain audio files, session data, and studio equipment.
  • Participate in quality control checks for various audio projects.
  • Conduct research on new audio technologies, plugins, and industry best practices.
  • Provide administrative support for studio operations as needed.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized studio environment.
  • Learn about various audio formats, codecs, and delivery specifications.

  • Basic knowledge of music theory or instrument proficiency.
