Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and ambitious Accessories & Handbag Design Intern to join our dynamic design team in Leigh-on-Sea. This is an unparalleled opportunity for an entry-level individual to gain hands-on experience within a globally recognized luxury brand. You will be immersed in the full design lifecycle, from concept generation and material research to supporting the development of new collections. This internship is designed to provide comprehensive training and mentorship, enabling you to build a strong foundation in luxury handbag and accessory design. No prior professional experience is required, just a genuine enthusiasm for design and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior designers with research for upcoming collections, including mood boards, trend analysis, and competitor studies.
- Support the conceptualization and development of new handbag and accessory designs through sketching and digital rendering.
- Aid in the sourcing and evaluation of materials, hardware, and embellishments, focusing on quality and sustainability.
- Prepare technical drawings and specifications for production, ensuring accuracy and alignment with design intent.
- Organize and maintain the design archives, material library, and sample collections.
- Participate in design critiques and team meetings, contributing ideas and feedback.
- Support the creation of presentations for internal reviews and external partners.
- Assist with general studio tasks to ensure a smooth and efficient design process.
Required Skills
- Fundamental understanding of design principles and aesthetics.
- Proficiency in sketching and visual communication.
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
- Strong passion for luxury fashion, particularly handbags and accessories.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Fashion Design, Product Design, or a related field.
