Job Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Aeronautical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Stoke-on-Trent. In this role, you will be instrumental in the design, analysis, development, and testing of complex aerospace systems and components. You will apply your expertise to ensure the safety, efficiency, and performance of our cutting-edge products, contributing to projects that push the boundaries of engineering. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and analyze aerospace components and systems using advanced engineering principles and tools.
  • Conduct detailed stress analysis, aerodynamic analysis, and performance simulations.
  • Participate in all phases of the product lifecycle, from conceptual design through to manufacturing support and in-service analysis.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports, specifications, and documentation.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and project management.
  • Support the testing and validation of designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and resolve complex technical issues, implementing innovative solutions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and the adoption of new technologies and methodologies.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, NX).
  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools.
  • Strong understanding of aerodynamics, structural mechanics, and materials science.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or PhD in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards it.
  • Experience with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software.
  • Familiarity with aerospace industry standards and regulations (e.g., EASA, FAA).
  • Experience in project management or leading small technical teams.
